Derbigum's History
Derbigum was introduced as a new concept in 1967 to meet demanding new roof performance requirements. This same basic polymer modified bitumen product qualifies as having met the important test of time. The basic parameters are as relevant today as they were in the 1960's. Developed in Italy, it is now manufactured in many countries including South Africa and used worldwide.
Atactic polypropylene and selected bitumen, when blended together, make good companions and possibly the most successful combination of raw materials in use today for the manufacture
of waterproofing membranes.
